This is a World Series matchup few saw coming in fact the Diamondbacks had a awful July they were overtaken by the Los Angeles Dodgers and Arizona ended up as a wildcard team. As for the Texas Rangers they were winning the AL West for most of the season untill they were in a battle with Seattle and Houston. The Rangers actually lost the Division Title to the Houston Astros on the final day of the season. Texas also was a wildcard team, so we fast forward to the playoffs where Texas had to go to Tampa Bay vs a 99 win team all they did was sweep the Rays out of the playoffs. Then they would sweep the AL East Champion Orioles in the ALDS. Texas would end up playing the Houston Astros again and this time it was the ALCS and both teams ended up tied at end of season. This was a wild wild series in fact every road team won, it all came down to Game 7 in Houston where Texas had to win 2 games to get to the World Series. Texas embarrassed the former World Series Astros by out scoring them 20-6 in 2 games in Houston led by Adolis Garcia who lit the Astros up. Texas has a offensive firepower lineup with Garcia and Corey Seager with Marcus Semien they are loaded. They have 2 Aces in Jordan Montgomery and Nathan Eovaldi and Future Hall of Famer Mad Max Scherzer. The Diamondbacks did this with toughness they were a gutsy team that never gave up. Arizona won 84 games all season they lost the division to the Dodgers by 16 games. Arizona shocked the Dodgers in the NLDS round by sweeping them away. Next it was the Diamondbacks vs the Phillies in the NLCS. The Phillies were the defending National League Champions and we're up 2 games to 0 and everyone thought this Diamondbacks Cinderella story was coming to an end. Not so fast Arizona tied the series at 2 and then the Phillies went up 3-2 going back home where they just had to win 1 game to return to the World Series. Arizona won game 6 by a score of 5-1 setting up a winner take all for the right to go to the World Series. Arizona stunned Philadelphia in Philly by a score of 4-2 to shockingly win the NL Pennant. Arizona has this young rookie who will be rookie of the year in Corbin Carroll who is going to be a star. They also have Ketel Marte who broke the MLB postseason record by recording a hit in each of his postseason games. He also broke the diamondbacks postseason record by getting 19 hits and was named the NLCS Most Outstanding Player. So in the end we have Texas vs Arizona a World Series no one saw coming but it's great for the sport to have new fresh faces and new teams. For my prediction I will go with the Texas Rangers over the Arizona Diamondbacks in 6 games to win the World Series.
